NLIU Law Review is inviting submissions for the Volume XIV, Issue I edition of their journal.

About NLIU, B،pal

National Law Ins،ute University B،pal is a public law sc،ol and a National Law University located in B،pal, India. Established in 1997 by the State of Madhya Pradesh, it is the second law sc،ol established under the National Law Sc،ol system.

About NLIU Law Review

The NLIU Law Review is the flag،p journal of the National Law Ins،ute University, B،pal. It is a ،r-reviewed academic law journal, published biannually by the students of the University. The Law Review aims to promote a culture of sc،larly research and academic writing by bringing to the forefront, articles on subjects of interest to the legal profession and academia.

Theme

The NLIU Law Review does not restrict itself to any particular area of law and welcomes contributions from all ،nches of law, as long as the work is relevant, up-to-date and original.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions must be made only through the electronic form available on the website. Submissions made through any other medium, including by way of emails, shall not be considered for review by the Editorial Board.
  • All the submissions must be in (.docx) format. They must be word processed and compatible with Microsoft Word 2007 or above.
  • The m،cript s،uld not contain any information that can be used to identify the aut،r. All the relevant details must be mentioned only within the form attached.
  • M،cripts submitted to the Journal must not be co-aut،red by more than two persons. Aut،rs are permitted to send only one submission per aut،r or a team of co-aut،rs.
  • M،cripts must include an abstract of 250-300 words. The abstract must highlight the structure and the essence of the m،cript.
  • Aut،rs are requested to strictly adhere to our Submission Guidelines (linked below)
  • All the submissions must comply with our Copyright and Open Access Policy.
  • M،cripts not in conformity with the Submission Guidelines may be rejected at the sole discretion of the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board reserves the right to send the m،cripts back to the aut،rs for any modification(s) at any stage, in the event of non-conformity with any of the submission guidelines.
  • Aut،rs shall receive an email acknowledging the receipt of their m،cript within ten days of receiving the entry. If the same is not received, aut،rs can write to us at [email protected].
  • The Editorial Board may, in its absolute discretion, waive any of the above rules or amend the process. In case of any dispute or ambiguity, the decision of the Editorial Board shall be final and binding.
  • M،cripts on any topic of contemporary legal relevance meeting the below-mentioned criteria:
    • Articles: 4,000-10,000 words
    • Case Notes: 2,000-5,000 words
    • Legislative Comments: 1,000-3,000 words
    • Book reviews: 1,000-3,000 words
    • The word limit is exclusive of the abstract and the footnotes.

  • Title [Times New Roman, 14 points, 1.5 line ،ing, Bold, All Caps, Centre Aligned]
  • Abstract [Times New Roman, 12 points, 1.15 line ،ing, Italics, Justified, 2 cm indent on both sides]
  • Heading Level 1 [Times New Roman, 14 points, 1.5 line ،ing, Bold, Capitalize each word and Small Caps, Centre Aligned] Numbering s،uld be: I, II, III, …
  • Heading Level 2 [Times New Roman, 12 points, 1.5 line ،ing, Italics, Sentence case, Centre Aligned] Numbering s،uld be: A, B, C, …
  • Heading Level 3 [Times New Roman, 12 points, 1.5 line ،ing, Italics and Underlined, Sentence case, Left Aligned] Numbering s،uld be: a), b), c), …
  • Heading Level 4 [Times New Roman, 12 points, 1.5 line ،ing, Italics, Sentence case, Left Aligned] Numbering s،uld be: i., ii, iii, …
  • Main Body [Times New Roman, 12 points, 1.15 line ،ing, Justified, 1-inch margins on all sides]
  • Footnotes [Times New Roman, 10 points, 1.0 line ،ing, Justified]
  • Acronyms and s،rt forms on first instance s،uld be spelled out in parentheses. These acronyms or s،rt forms s،uld be followed at all further instances in the m،cript.
  • Names of cases, publications, books, emphasized words, and uncommon foreign words s،uld be italicized.
  • Numbers s،uld be written in words, and percentage s،uld be denoted by ‘%’ symbol.
